The UF Health The Villages® Hospital Brownwood Freestanding ER is a modern, 25,000-square-foot facility that features a full complement of staff, including physicians, nurses and patient care technicians. It is equipped with 16 beds, two of which are situated inside state-of-the-art trauma bays. The facility is outfitted with the latest diagnostic imaging technology, including CT and X-ray, and offers laboratory and respiratory therapy services, as well as a negative air pressure room for patients who need to be isolated. It is the first facility of its kind in the Wildwood area and is located directly across from Brownwood Paddock Square in The Villages and is open 24x7. 3800 Meggison Road, The Villages, FL 32163.
The ultrasound tech works under the direction of the supervisor and in association with the radiologist. The ultrasound technologist performs routine, emergent and specialized sonographic examinations; provides patient care; and exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures. This is a full-time, varied shift position. This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus!

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiology.
• Post-high school special training.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• BLS.
• ARRT or vascular certification within six months, which is either RVT (through ARDMS) or RVS (through CCI).

Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required:

• Must be able to read, write in, speak and understand English.
