$10,000.00 sign on bonus for full-time hires!The Ultrasonographer will be responsible for performing high Quality Sonographic examinations in consort with the Radiologist. Some of these exams may require the use of High Level Disinfection technique. In addition to the technical aspects of the position, the Ultrasonographer is responsible for Quality Improvement activities and Quality Control of the Sonograms produced. Will include days, evenings, nights and weekend rotations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinates Sonograms requested with other Radiology Examinations according to patient’s needs.
- Responsible for making adjustments to the schedule to accommodate emergent exams.
- Performs Diagnostic Sonographic examinations as directed by the requesting physician under the guidance of the on-site Radiologist.
- Recommends service of equipment as needed.
- Assists the Radiologist in performing invasive Ultrasound studies using High Level Disinfection technique and Standard Precautions.
- Maintains all probes and patient care equipment in good working order following all manufactures’ recommendations and all Health Centers approved cleaning or disinfecting procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- HS Diploma or GED required.
- Some vascular is a plus.
- 3-5 years experience in a high paced environment.
- RDMS registration in force and in good standing.
- Bi-lingual Spanish speaking skills preferred.
- Experience in Abdominal, Fetal and small parts Sonography.
