Job Description
Overview:
Join our Survey/Geospatial team, which offers a full range of survey and geospatial data and mapping services that enable us to collect data faster, safer, and more accurately than ever before. Collect data from the air, ground and subsurface to provide precision data interpretation with us and accelerate YOUR success to become tomorrow’s industry leader.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop flight plans, check NOTAMS, check weather and coordinate airspace integration with any effected controlling agencies or privately owned properties.
  • Perform equipment troubleshooting.
  • Establish survey-grade control for UAS projects utilizing Trimble GNSS equipment.
  • Conduct pre-mission planning with project managers to clarify deliverables.
  • Utilize precision RPAS flight skills to collect top quality photo, video and LIDAR data for land development projects.
  • Solve problems on the ground in real-time and deliver acquired data in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
  • Previous surveying, data processing, or engineering experience a plus.
  • Able to articulate and communicate effectively via text and verbally.
  • Drive large vehicles over multiple days for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to manage small field crew (2-4 people), field schedule, and project expectations.
  • Ability to work some weekends.
  • Professional experience with fixed wing and/or multi-rotor drones.
  • Knowledge of civilian airspace and aeronautical charts.
  • Ability to work outdoors with limited facilities and resources for extended periods of time in various climates.
  • Ability to maintain, inspect, clean, and occasionally repair UAS equipment.
  • Ability to travel 75% of the time on short notice when needed.
  • Knowledge of drone mapping software.
  • FAA Part 107 license required.
  • Attention to detail and quality.
  • Prior supervisory experience a plus.
  • Must make safety #1 priority at all times.
  • Previous field work experience required.
  • Experience with RIEGL LiDAR sensors and processing software a plus
  • Ability to work independently and/or as part of a small team.
  • Thorough understanding of all components of RPAS, as well as the ability to troubleshoot technical issues in the field.
  • Must be able to lift 80lbs.
  • Knowledge of proper operations of sUAS per FAA Part 107 regulations.

Requires a pre-employment drug screen and will require ongoing participation in the employer's random drug and alcohol testing program.
