Job Description

Spencer Ogden is seeking a Project Manager to manage the development and implementation of small-medium RNG Capital Projects for a leading Energy client of ours. | This is a remote opportunity with up to 75% travel. Travel is to various sites anywhere from Oklahoma, Kentucky, New York, Nebraska, or Pennsylvania.


Key Accountabilities

• Well rounded experience needed with experience in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical projects. Mostly working on Brownfield projects and a background in the midstream industry would be beneficial.

Manages multiple intermediate-to-large ($5-plus million) capital projects and/or multiple small projects, some of which may be already in progress. Ensures the constructability of the scope of work, engineering and design of the project.

• Works closely with in-house Construction Management team to manage the progress of each construction project from the scoping phase through the design, construction and closeout phases. This is inclusive of project scope, schedule and cost estimate tracking; engineering and construction; and commissioning into service and project closeout. Manages cost and schedule forecasting, and cost and schedule change control.

• Manages project expenditures and the procurement of equipment and materials.

• Manages and integrates project construction with Operations ensuring coordination between management and the general contractor or multiple individual contractors; coordinates with Supply Chain Management in conducting bid meetings and reviews, supplier selections and evaluations; determines contracting strategy congruent with labor utilization strategies and cost optimization.

• Manages project scope, schedule & cost changes ensuring that all project requirements and/or objectives and the execution of changes are properly documented, justified, and approved; implements approved changes in a timely manner.

• Manages communications, risk management, scope verification, and information distribution during project development & implementation; ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and other regulatory requirements.

• Interfaces with the respective internal and external project stakeholders as needed. Minimum Education & Experience Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or related field; 5+ years’ relevant experience, with a minimum of 2-3 years of project management experience. Well rounded experience needed with experience in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical projects.
