Job Description


Are you an adventurous and passionate Special Education Teacher looking for a unique opportunity to combine your love for teaching with your desire to explore new places? Look no further! We have an exciting travel position available for a qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team and provide exceptional educational support to students with special needs in Ross, IN and various locations.


Responsibilities


  • Assess students' abilities and create tailored instructional strategies
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for a diverse caseload of middle and high school students
  • Utilize assistive technology and adaptive materials to enhance student learning experiences
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
  • Deliver specialized instruction across various subjects to promote academic growth
  • Maintain effective communication with parents, administrators, and other team members
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to foster inclusive learning environments
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere


Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for improving students' lives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations
  • Special Education Certification (BS) from an accredited institution
  • Experience working with middle and high school students with diverse needs and learning styles
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
