What You'll Get To Do:
Vendor Management and Negotiations:
- Manage relationship and service level of the Travel Management Company
- Escalation coordinate resolution of issues across various departments of the TMC to facilitate a successful outcome
- Conduct weekly, quarterly an annual business reviews to align Panasonic Travel Program goals to TMC services and tools
- Work with TMC to implement recommendations at operational level
Set, review and work to correct TMC SLAs and KPIs:
- Manage relationship and service level of travel services providers like Airlines, Hotels, Ground Transportation, etc.
- Work with travel suppliers to ensure high operational levels
- Conduct quarterly an annual business reviews to align Panasonic Travel Program goals to travel supplier services
- Escalation- coordinate resolution of issues across various suppliers to facilitate a successful outcome
Set, review and work to correct supplier SLAs and KPIs:
- Provide essential information and strategic guidance to Panasonic Procurement to ensure positive results across all travel supplier sourcing events and contract negotiations.
- Support PNA Procurement with strategic sourcing strategy for TMC, airline, hotel and car rental contracts
- Negotiate cost, ancillary services and incentives alongside Procurement
- Execution and management of annual Hotel RFP Bid, ensure best in class program
Travel Program Management:
- Manage execution of the Panasonic Travel Program
- Answer ad hoc traveler questions or guidance and ad hoc supplier questions
- Ad-hoc communication to frequent travelers and travel arrangers
- Implementation of all new travel related tools and technology
- Coordination, development and implementation of policy, procedure and program management
- Oversight of RECs Intranet Travel Site
- Point of response for travel related issues, point of escalation
- Perform New Employee Orientation to educate details of travel program to potential new company travelers
Online Booking Tool Administrator:
- Research and resolve traveler online booking tool issues
- Administrator for Concur Online Travel booking tool, identifying best practices and tool configuration to align with Panasonic policy and compliance objectives
- Report and resolve technical issues with Concur.
- Provide ongoing updates on reported issues as needed to ensure understanding and timely completion
Travel Management Information Reporting:
- Research and respond to internal accounting and financial questions related to reports
- Create, update, and disseminate monthly travel reports to various Business Unit Accounting departments identifying spend, savings and lost savings
- Ad hoc data and information management projects as requested by Panasonic
- Management of Unused Nonrefundable tickets via Reporting
- Track and report monthly data in compliance of corporate travel policy and procedure
- Business Unit Quarterly Travel Dashboard Dataset
- Run KPI reports on all aspects of travel spend to identify trends and their impact to Panasonic
- Track and report monthly travel agency fees and reconciliation
What You'll Bring:
Education and Experience:
- Experience in budget development and management skills
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization as well as external clients
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, project management and planning skills
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight reporting schedule Bachelors or Business Travel degree preferred
- Degree required
- Self-motivated with attention to detail, accuracy, documentation and follow-through
- Proficient in Excel and reporting tools for data compilation and aggregation Proven analytical skills to evaluate trends & implement programs to improve performance and business productivity.
- 10 plus years of relevant work experiences in Business Travel Management and Operations
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills, including analysis, interpretation & reasoning
- Experience in travel supplier pricing negotiations, service management and reporting

- Must be resourceful, take initiative, and work with minimum supervision
- Superior interpersonal, communication, process and project skills.

- Demonstrated ability to succeed and deliver results in matrixed organizations. Collaborate with RE and CS team members and other internal functions like Finance, HR, IT, and third-party suppliers to develop and drive business travel projects

The salary range of $89,000 - $100,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.
