Job Description

FPC of Wake Forest has been engaged to locate a Transportation Manager for a top client. This company has a great reputation for the design and manufacture of high-quality consumer products.



So, what will you be doing as Transportation Manger?

-Manage, coach, and develop a Transportation team

-Plan, supervise, and coordinate all transportation related activities

-Develop transportation strategy, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance

-Monitor transportation cost and identify areas for improvement

-Conduct safety audits and training sessions



To be successful, you will need:

-BS in Transportation, Logistics, or another related field

-5+ years of experience in Transportation Management

-Strong understanding of all transportation modes. Heavy experience in Ocean freight.

-Proven ability to lead and develop a team

-Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization



Things also considered a plus:

-MBA

-Direct experience in moving product from Asia (Ocean freight)

-CLT, CTP, or CSCP certification
