Transportation Engineering Associate I (61034719)

Job Responsibilities

Performs inspection of contractors work to ensure that materials and workmanship are all in accordance with plans and specifications. This work includes earthwork, asphalt paving, curb and gutter placement, concrete work, etc. Assists in performing and supervising subordinates in the sampling of materials to ensure quality is consistent with plans and specifications. Performs office work involving engineering data as well as computing and verifying quantities, preparing reports, and final construction plans. Maintains traffic control and erosion control plans and reports throughout the project to ensure all is in accordance with specifications and approved plans.

This Position is located at District One: Lexington Construction B

Minimum And Additional Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Science and Management. Relevant experience may substitute for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.
