Job Summary
The Training Lead is responsible for leading Apparel & Licensing (A&L) training projects through the HDU (Harley Davidson University) planning process. This position ensures that all projects use training that drives retail in the dealer network with a strong focus on metrics and driving results. The position will work with Apparel & Licensing stakeholders to ensure the greatest understanding of the Apparel & Licensing businesses regarding products, sales, programs, and promotions. The Training Lead is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals.
Job Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain standards and procedures for organization supported
  • Create, implement, communicate, and facilitate training to drive retail performance in the dealer network
  • Evaluate and measure the effectiveness of training
  • Identify current and future training needs by evaluating strengths and weaknesses in the dealer network
  • Use project management methodology to ensure projects run smoothly, effectively, and on time
  • Utilize the HDU development process in all projects to deliver timely and relevant product and retail training
  • Build and maintain a trusting relationship with dealers, optimizing responsiveness to dealers and increasing dealer profitability while ensuring achievement of company objectives.
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
  • Coach and mentor others in the department on the real-world retail application of retail tactics to drive revenue and dealership profitability.
  • Streamline and improve cross-functional processes by proactively evaluating process concepts and developing new processes
  • Employ continuous improvement methodologies to improve processes, understand, contain, and prioritize projects
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Experience Requirements
  • Ability to gather and analyze data to uncover actionable insights to improve and develop training on product knowledge, retail sales, and retail management
  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related training and retail experience
  • Ability to balance conflicting stakeholder needs and collaborate/influence cross-functional situations
  • Ability to learn and change at a rate consistent with what is required by customer needs
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft suite of products
  • Proven knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles
  • Project Management knowledge and experience
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, and influencing without authority
  • Demonstrated ability to work interdependently and manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools, and techniques
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal, cross-functional employees to drive projects forward to completion and external partners
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
