We are seeking a highly motivated Event Coordinator to assist the Event Manager of the Traffic Support Services Department. They will be responsible for supervising both the event operations of the Phoenix Suns Arena, Jefferson & the Chase Field Garages
What Will You Do
  • Create & maintain a Team environment.
  • Monitor & manage effective revenue control procedures.
  • Work closely with the Event Operations Staff of the Phoenix Suns Arena & Chase Field.
  • Monitor & manage the barricade setups.
  • Manage multiple facilities, tasks, employees and operational needs to ensure the operational objectives are met.
  • Communicate regularly with department management team regarding matters that impact their duties and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational & department policies and procedures.
  • Oversee all the aspects of the parking operations (both daily & event) for the facilities they are assigned to cover:
  • Handle customer complaints and operational issues.
What We Need From Our Event Coordinator
  • Be able to maintain flexibility in work schedule to meet organizational needs.
  • Ability to plan and organize work by recognizing priorities and deadlines.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Knowledge of City of Phoenix Street, “Traffic Barricade Manual & Requirements”
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all staff levels
  • Experience with revenue control equipment / systems.
Experience/ Education Requirements
  • Skills/knowledge:
  • Be able to stand for long periods
  • 2-4 years of management experience in the parking industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience/education:
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work outside in all types of weather.
  • Must be able to stand for extend periods
  • Visual acuity, hearing, speaking:
  • The ability to see the passes and recognize the colors and numbers is essential to the operation of the garage.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Physical effort and dexterity:
  • Required to work inside and outside the facilities
  • The ability to communicate & hear via two-way radio is imperative
  • Work hours vary to meet the operational needs of the organization.
  • Self-starter, able to function independently.
  • Able to lift and stage equipment as required.
  • Excellent computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office, e-mail, excel word processing.
