About This Role
As a Trading and Technology Support Engineer II at PEAK6, you’ll be integral to maintaining and improving the firm’s processes and procedures by collaborating with traders and trader support to advance the firm’s position as an innovative leader in the industry. Working in Shared Trader Services at PEAK6 means that you’ll always be presented with a variety of new possibilities as you continue to enhance your skills.
You’ll be responsible for:

• Collaborating on projects with development, infrastructure, trading, operations, and many other groups within the firm
• Building scripts in Python, SQL and Postgres
• Handling day-to-day application, script and linux system support
• Investigating execution issues and deep diving execution behavior for equity and option securities
• Monitoring our systems

Your Experience

• Strong sense of urgency when it comes to customer support resolution
• A Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of work experience
• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to understand, analyze and creatively solve problems
• The ability to pass Series 57 licensing exam upon hire
• Proficiency in SQL and Excel VBA is a plus
• Technical proficiency in Python

The base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and office location. This position also may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to a range of health & wellness benefits.
