Mariner Wealth Advisors is seeking a Trading Support Associate for a remote position. The primary responsibility is to support the Mariner Operations team by providing exceptional service and support to our internal teams. Responsibilities
  • Manage and prioritize multiple time sensitive requests
  • Capture trade execution data, analyze data, create quality checks on the data to ensure accuracy, and research any outliers as a result of those quality checks
  • Work with members of the Operations team as well as other departments and internal clients of Mariner on both recurring processes and new requests that involve trade execution and reporting on trade execution
  • Process recurring trade request such as rebalancing accounts against a defined model
  • Work with all aspects of trade execution data from multiple offices utilizing different order management systems
  • Complete cross checks around trading as needed and recommend improvements to current processes
  • Process one-off trade request such as raising cash for withdrawals
  • Provide timely and accurate trade execution with multiple custodians as requested by advisors. This does not require decision making on trades, but rather simply executing a high volume of trades as requested
Qualifications
  • 1 - 3 years Trading or Operations experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree and proficiency with Microsoft Excel required
Skills & Knowledge
  • Must be client service focused, which will involve responding to emails, cases and phone calls.The Trading team prides itself on always trying to find a better way and the candidate will enjoy challenging the status quo and embracing change
  • Experience with custodians such as Fidelity Investments, Schwab, or TD Ameritrade is a plus
  • Must be curious by nature, always asking why, and seeking to understand the background of what they are doing
  • Experience with rebalancing or trading order management software (OMS) such as Orion Advisor Services, Eze Castle, Envestnet Tamarac, Moxy, RedBlack, Morningstar Total Rebalance Expert (TRX), iRebal, Trade Warrior, Blaze Portfolio, or other similar is a plus
  • Experience with Alteryx, PowerBI, Visual Basic, SQL, or similar work experience is also a plus
  • Strong aptitude for computer systems and enjoy collaborating with other associates on a variety of tasks and processes
