Role: Threat Intelligence Analyst

Duration: 6 Months

Type: 100% REMOTE

Interview between 2-3 PM CST OR 3-4 PM CST is also available on Friday.

Principal Accountabilities

• Analyze malware and other threats to identify artifacts, behaviors and indicators
• Identify and track threat campaigns targeting the organization
• Work with security operations and engineering to integrate threat indicator sources with appropriate tools
• Develop, manage, optimize and continuously improve processes to enhance the overall cyber threat intelligence function
• Support Cyber Threat Operations and Engineering teams during incidents and other threat monitoring activities providing intelligence context, remediation recommendations and expertise
• Monitor threat landscape to identify new tactics, techniques and procedures employed by threat actors and update associated profiles
• Develop and maintain threat actor profiles along with associated activity, trends, TTPS, etc. from all available sources
• Manage threat intelligence platforms and monitor feed sources for efficacy

Education And Experience

• Malware analysis or threat intelligence related certification such as GCIH, GREM, GCTI, etc.
• Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification
• Three+ years of previous experience in a threat intelligence, cyber security, incident response or malware analysis role
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/related field or equivalent experience

Required Knowledge And Skill

• Knowledge of various APT, cybercrime and other advanced threat actors
• Previous experience with security technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, Snort, Suricata, Bro, etc.
• Knowledge of cyber threat models such as the Diamond Model of Intrusion Analysis and Cyber Kill Chain
• Understanding of Linux, OS X, UNIX and Windows operating systems
• Experience with open-source intelligence gathering techniques.
• Experience collecting, analyzing and interpreting threat data from multiple sources
• Experience setting up, managing, or working with malware analysis sandboxes
• Ability to manage threat intelligence platforms and associated threat feeds.
• Experience with incident response, security operations or vulnerability management
