Cyber Threat Analyst Jobs

Cyber Threat Analyst - $100-$140k

I am working with a leading Cyber security company who are looking for a Cyber threat analyst for their commercial client. This is a hybrid role and the working schedule is 2 days on site and 3 days remote. The client can have you based out of either their Houston office or Washington.

To be considered you will need the following skills and experience:

• Strong working knowledge of Splunk
• Previous cybersecurity domain knowledge (cyber threat landscape, an understanding of network reconnaissance TTPs, malware, phishing, lateral movement, and data exfiltration)
• Understanding of the cyber security threat landscape (reconnaissance, exploitation, malware, phishing, lateral movement, and data exfiltration),
• Hands on experience analyzing network and endpoint data, experience creating detection signatures for both networks and endpoints, and data analytics skills to create signatures based off anomalous traffic
• The successful candidate will be expected to perform data analysis from network and endpoint security logs, and translate newly identified threat actor TTPs into new IOCs. All candidates considered must have hands on experience in the previously mentioned skill areas
• Ability to create advanced queries to analyze data from multiple data sources, develop custom detection content based off internal analysis and external intelligence reporting
