This individual will be a member of the DMF Production team responsible for the processing and assembly of novel chemical, mechanical and electrical components, as well as testing and prototype construction.
This role will suit an individual who has experience and drive working in a fast-paced biotech environment with a track record of execution and teamwork.
About The Role
  • Maintenance and proper handling of coating fixtures and tooling
  • Maintain production records and document problems with coating
  • Operate CVD-type coating systems
  • Routine coating chamber maintenance, including bead blasting
  • Troubleshooting of coating processes and equipment, and collaboration with engineering support to improve
  • Prepare deposition chamber for coating runs: load deposition materials, prepare and load parts
  • Perform incoming and outgoing quality control inspection and measurement of parts for cosmetic and functional defects, including but not limited to the use of an ellipsometer, microscope, and hand loupe
Requirements
Essential:
  • Follow best practices and clean room protocols along with safe chemical handling
  • Basic computer literacy and competency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • General mechanical competency
  • Experience in cleanroom environment
  • Attention to detail, need to notice small defects that have low detectability
  • Dexterity to handle delicate parts with tweezers or other tools
  • Ability to work independently to complete required tasks
  • Good communication, both written and verbal
Desirable
  • 1-2 years previous experience preferred in a thin film commercial manufacturing processing environment
  • Associates or other technical degree with equivalent experience
