PRIMARY PURPOSE: Responsible for the direct supervision of all clients in the Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program. The Virtual IOP Therapist is a professional who requires advanced knowledge in the behavioral sciences acquired by a long course of study and/or work experience. In addition to the responsibility for the direct supervision of clients in the program, the Virtual IOP Therapist will implement individualized, strengths-based, culturally competent clinical and support services including daily therapeutic groups, on-going assessment and individual and family therapy as assigned.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
A. Responsible for the active direct supervision of all clients in the day program and to provide direction for developing and understanding an appreciation of the philosophy, function and operation of the treatment program, as well as the structure and philosophy of service and treatment of Hillside.
B. The Virtual IOP Therapist should ensure the IOP Program schedule is being followed and actively participate in scheduled activities with the clients.
C. Responsible for updating the group schedule and ensuring the experiential groups are clinically appropriate.
D. Responsible for updating and developing clinical curriculums to meet the needs of the program.
E. Complete thorough psychosocial and family assessments on assigned clients, assessing clients’ strengths, needs, abilities and preferences. Complete assessments within the designated time frames.
F. Design individualized treatment plans that reflect the assessed needs and preferences of the child/youth and family, building on their strengths, resources and abilities.
G. Conduct group therapy sessions on a daily basis in accordance to the daily schedule
H. Conduct individual and family therapy sessions as assigned.
I. Coordinate services outlined in the treatment plan, ensuring that services and interventions are carried out, monitoring progress towards goals and modifying the plan as needed.
J. Fully participate in weekly one-on-one sessions, weekly team meetings, and other meetings as required and as assigned
K. Document all services in accordance with program policies and procedures.
L. Maintain client records in accordance with Hillside, State, Licensing and accreditation guidelines.
M. Perform other duties as deemed necessary by management.

G. Complete a psychosocial assessment and be able to demonstrate ongoing assessment of the client’s treatment.
H. Maintain client records in accordance with Hillside, State, Licensing and accreditation guidelines.

H. Provide therapy which helps client’s reach their treatment plan goals.
EDUCATION: Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Professional Counseling. Eligible for licensure by the State of Georgia in Social Work, Psychology or Professional Counseling required. Be familiar with DBT and be able to effectively use DBT in the therapeutic treatment of clients and their families/caretakers. Be trained in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI). Be able to use the techniques safely and effectively.
EXPERIENCE: Clinical experience in Individual, Group and Family Therapy (internship may be used as experience).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must submit to an annual physical exam.
MISCELLANEOUS REQUIREMENTS:
A. Must not have a record of felony or misdemeanor convictions.
B. Maintain vehicle insurance coverage as required by Georgia law, Hillside policy and contracts. NOTE: Any exceptions to the above will be at the discretion of the DBT Outreach Manager.
C. Must demonstrate excellent writing skills.
D. Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently of close supervision.
E. Must exercise good, sound independent judgment and action.
F. Must be willing to be part of a team and be receptive to supervision.
G. Must complete all trainings and attend all meetings required by the agency.
H. Hillside is a drug-free work place.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Guided by verbal and written instructions, policies and procedures and well established guidelines.
WORK SCHEDULE: Work hours are Monday through Friday and times may vary depending on needs of the program/client
