The primary role of the Terminal Operator is to perform all functions of Terminal Operations as directed, consistent with Standard Operating Procedures, Specifications, and State and Federal Regulations, in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner.
This position is located in Rhinelander, Wisconsin

Responsibilities:
  • Execute safe work permitting system and ensure surveillance of contractor activities.
  • Perform physical gauge and side gauge readings, daily facility inspections, housekeeping chores on grounds and in buildings, snow removal activities, and handle on-call facility duties.
  • Contribute and align to Cenovus safety culture and standards.
  • Train Transport Drivers for facility access and ensure surveillance of contractor activities.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment, as well as calibration and inspections.
  • Maintain equipment records for terminal and transfer piping operations.
  • Perform work associated with liquid product handling of a variety of chemicals and petrochemicals, which occurs by way of pipeline and tank transfers, tank truck loading and unloading, and ship fueling.
  • Maintain fuel accounting records such as daily inventories and distributions.
  • Assist mechanic and technician in performing mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance.
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in petroleum, transportation, or lubricants related field is required.
  • Basic understanding of fluid flow, hydraulics, fuel oils, mathematical computations, and regulatory compliance.
  • Must possess and maintain valid driver’s license and a satisfactory safe driving record.
  • Operator Technical Competency Matrix.
  • Must possess or acquire a Wisconsin & Minnesota Weights & Measure license.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Formal training/work in an associated field.
  • BA/BS, Trade School, formal training/work experience in associated field, or Associates Degree is highly desirable.
