Telemetry Service Engineer - Flex

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for delivering monthly business reviews on service health, quality, and project execution to senior leadership.
• You will prioritize, forecast and align resources and schedules while managing strategies and obstacles across teams.
• Work closely with technical architects and partner teams, you will drive service operations key performance indicators (KPI)s and execute continuous process improvement strategies to increase service availability and reduce cycle time.
• You will partner with telemetry service engineering, software development, datacenter operations, IT service engineers, and Azure service teams to develop and maintain telemetry service programs supporting dynamic power capacity initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building and operating high-performance, scalable IoT-centric telemetry systems and services
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or related field AND 3+ years technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, service engineering, or systems engineering o OR equivalent experience.

• 1+ years of experience in data center or other critical infrastructure including power, cooling, physical networks, technical operations, and/or building management systems including but not limited to: BAS (Building Automation Systems), EPMS (Electrical Power Monitoring Systems), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition)

• Demonstrated experience in IT Project Management, IT Service Operations or Service Management process frameworks (eg. ITIL) including service improvement, incident management and/or root cause analysis

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

• Demonstrated experience in Industrial Controls Systems / Industrial IoT operations

• Demonstrated ability to effectively present information and influence peer teams
• Demonstrated experience in commercial software/product development
• Proficiency in prioritization, resource planning, budgeting and contracting in a small team environment
• Fundamental understanding of enterprise software and cloud architectures, database query languages, network protocols, IoT
• Proficiency in enterprise office applications for creation of processes, schedules, reports and business intelligence visualizations
