Purpose of Role


UpHealth is reshaping how healthcare is delivered - with an emphasis on accessible, high quality, and equitable care for all. This team member will drive client satisfaction and revenue expansion within UpHealth’s existing telehealth and language services book of business. Working closely alongside Account Managers (who share responsibility for client satisfaction and revenue expansion, and who also manage the day to day initiatives and renewals for these clients), this role will serve as a product subject matter expert and upsell (same store) leader. Most opportunities will be AI and/or Data and Analytics.


Essential to success within this role is the ability to establish productive relationships across a client’s organization (C-Suite, Leadership, Sponsor, Advocate, Operator), as well as a revenue growth mindset.


You will be responsible for collaborating closely with our Account Management, Innovation Lab, Product and Marketing teams to identify, architect and execute growth strategies.


Be a strategic big thinker, skilled at networking and selling into C-Suite buyers within complex health systems and provider groups.


Drive in year revenue and pipeline for future revenue expansion; Provide accurate forecast of near and long term sales opportunities.


Bring the voice of our clients into all facets of the UpHealth business, and be the greatest advocate of UpHealth with clients.


Maintain product expertise, as well as a deep appreciation of the markets and competitors around us; Deliver Product Roadmap to clients within your assigned territory for the purpose of upselling.


Core Responsibilities:


  • Identify clients expansion opportunities, prioritize them appropriately; Develop a pipeline and utilize the forecasting process within Salesforce.
  • Work effectively with Account Managers and Business Development Representatives (BDR’s) to drive pipeline in the most efficient manner.
  • Use effective presentations, demonstrations and RFP responses to articulate how UpHealth will improve the outcomes and financials of our customers.
  • Use a consultative approach with clients to quickly develop a deep understanding of their high-priority problems and needs; Architect a plan to demonstrate how the customers and their organizations will benefit from UpHealth’s expanded product suite, including AI and data and analytic solutions; Create a sense of urgency, with a bias toward immediate action.
  • Champion the voice of the buyer within UpHealth to drive further innovation and competitive value.
  • Fully comprehend and leverage the value of UpHealth’s platform, product suite and analytics within the market (at conferences, within social media, etc) to spread brand awareness.

Professional Experience, Essential Skills, And Knowledge


  • Experienced in technologies such as AI (ex: digital agents) and/or data and analytics.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to meet aggressive deadlines while maintaining professionalism and poise.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience selling into health systems at the C-suite and executive level.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills; Possess the ability to inspire those around them.
  • Demonstrated success selling highly innovative technology; Comfort and demonstrated success working with both defined and emerging product lines.
  • Self-starter and critical thinker in fast moving environments.
