Job Description
As a Quality Inspector, you will support test activities across multiple Assembly, Test, and Launch Operations (ATLO) test labs at the Littleton, CO facility. You will be performing critical inspections and working collaboratively with multi-functional teams to execute testing such as vibration, stress, propulsion and thermal vacuum on spacecraft components before integration into the vehicle.
By working collaboratively with a team of world class technicians and engineers, our team ensures that the quality and continuous improvement is built into every level of the test process. You will also work collaboratively to resolve test anomalies, work to become an expert on requirements and specifications, and interact with the customer as needed. You will be an integral part of ensuring our dedication to 100% mission success is upheld.
Typical role responsibilities include:
  • Providing a variety of inspections on components as directed by procedures
  • Prepare electronic documentation on nonconforming hardware. (Qnote)
  • This position occasionally requires working off shifts, non-standard work weeks and overtime as needed to complete test campaigns on schedule.
  • Perform a variety of test preparation, in process, verification and post test tasks based on certifications, responsible areas, and work load
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement across the test cycle to eliminate quality control issues
  • Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications to execute test activities and determine if non-conformances exist

This position is located on the beautiful Waterton campus in Littleton Colorado.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Ability to occasionally work second shift, extended hours, weekends, and holidays depending on production needs.
  • High School Diploma
  • Effective oral and written communications skills interpreting and performing procedure tasks as it relates to test operations in a production/manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications, and the use of other computer resources to access specifications, and engineering designs.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, focus on world class quality, and the ability to work effectively with a team are also key.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and provide clear and concise feedback and communication to Quality team.
  • Demonstrable Inspection skills within a test and manufacturing environment.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $39,500 - $75,800. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
