Summary You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the Sensors Weapons and Launchers Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. Responsibilities You will serve as the Technical Project Lead in the NATO SeaSparrow Surface Missile System (NSSMS) Depot Engineering Branch. You will provide leadership and technical support to NSSMS Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as a primary function and support other shipboard weapon systems on an as needed basis. You will lead team efforts in equipment failure investigations, production schedules and execution, develop Technical Repair Procedures, develop equipment inspections, and coordinate support services to facility depot operations. You will interface regularly with Sponsor, fleet customers and all associated technical, logistical and commercial activities. You will provide complex project oriented technical expertise and leadership for Weapon System Equipment Upgrades, Repair, Testing and Integration efforts. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying electronics technician concepts, principles, or practices to lead projects in support of the maintenance or modernization of ship combat and weapon systems. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14. Additional vacancies may be filled by this announcement.
