The Allen Turner Hyundai Technician Apprentice Program gives individuals the opportunity to enter the automotive technician field with the tools, training, and support to be successful.
The automotive technician field is wide open for employment and is very lucrative for those who excel. As vehicles become more complex and new technologies, such as alternative fuel powered vehicles, rise in popularity, skilled technicians will become more highly demanded and more highly compensated than ever.
No tools? No problem. Candidates who wish to enroll in our program will be provided a set of tools to use and extensive training and support from our experienced staff here at Allen Turner Hyundai. After 24 months with the company, the technician will become the owner of the set of tools they have been using!

Techneician Specific Benefits

Responsibilities

• Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation
• Clean and lubricate fittings as needed
• Install a new oil drain plug and a new oil filter
• Providing excellent customer service keeping in mind that our customer’s perspective comes first
• Complete vehicle inspection
• Inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary
• Check and communicate oil level to teammates

Qualifications

• Basic computer competencies
• Excellent customer service skills
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Strong understanding of the service drive
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality
• Previous experience at an automotive dealership preferred
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Willingness to submit to pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
