Technical Writer Jobs

POSITION OBJECTIVE
Provide accurate and standards-compliant technical documentation to ensure proper and safe equipment operation, maintenance and repair.
Principal Responsibilities

• Learning about, working with, and utilizing various new and existing software publishing and authoring tools.
• Completion of projects within stipulated timeframes and submitting for quality, standards and compliance review for verification and feedback.
• Meeting with various team members to discuss possible projects, finalizing timelines, and discussing data and information that is to be included in the documentation.
• Completing all revisions and modifications as required and within stipulated timeframes.
• Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work - Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
• Researching and verifying information that is to be included in the documentation.

Education & Experience

• Excellent social skills.
• Excellent communication skills in speaking and writing the English language.
• Familiarity with Simplified Technical English.
• Familiarity with reading drawings and schematics.
• Familiarity with American and International Compliance Standards.
• Schema ST4, XMetal, Jira, Asana, Accelerator KMS, Adobe InDesign, CAD software, or other authoring tools.
• Microsoft Windows 10/11 / MS Office / MS Teams
• Familiarity with Live Work Elimination (Hazard Elimination) pertaining to written work instructions.
• Bilingual a plus.
• Experience working in an international environment.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience and/or degree in Technical Communication, Engineering.
• Mining, Mechanical, Vehicle, or Manufacturing experience.
• Worked with CMS/CCMS/KMS system, 3D illustration tools (Adobe illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Cortona), and desktop publishing software.
