We are currently seeking a dynamic and skilled Contract Technical Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical writing, specifically within the cybersecurity field, and possess a deep understanding of cybersecurity tools. This role will require you to create clear, concise, and comprehensive technical documentation for our technology products. You will have a direct impact on our company by ensuring our users understand and can optimally utilize our cybersecurity tools.

Responsibilities

As a Contract Technical Writer, your responsibilities will include

• Assisting in the development of training materials and user manuals.
• Translating complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand text, diagrams, and multimedia content.
• Creating, editing, and maintaining technical documentation for our cybersecurity products, ensuring that they are clear, concise, and comprehensive.
• Contributing to the development and implementation of documentation strategies and workflows.
• Ensuring that all documentation complies with industry standards and company style guides.
• Collaborating closely with our team of engineers and product managers to gain an in-depth understanding of our products and the needs of our users.
• Participating in product development meetings to stay up-to-date with the latest product features and updates.
• Reviewing and updating existing documentation to ensure its accuracy and relevance.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Contract Technical Writer position should have the following qualifications

• Proficiency in using technical writing tools and software.
• Strong attention to detail and an ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• A deep understanding of cybersecurity tools and vulnerability management.
• At least 3 years of experience in technical writing, specifically within the cybersecurity field.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with the software development life cycle and agile methodologies is a plus.
• Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand text.
• A bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
