Job Description
Location: Dulles, VA


Must have an active Secret Clearance


Node is supporting a proprietary customer contract delivering technical support to customer management and providing technical services to enable customer mission accomplishment. In support of the customer’s strategic direction,


Node is looking for individuals with technical experience to support customer environment operations. This is a fast-paced, dynamic environment where strong task ownership and drive can generate tremendous results and recognition. Successful candidates must have excellent customer service skills and be able to change priorities quickly to meet changing mission needs.


Responsibilities include:


  • Apply current technologies to the design, development, evaluation and integration of computer information systems and networks to maintain system security
  • Providing status of work in progress, material availability, and potential delivery problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed
  • Responsible for ensuring the protection of client data against unauthorized disclosure, accidental or intentional loss of data, or unauthorized modification
  • Travelling to support hardware deployments up to 40 percent of the time
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by suggesting enhancements to deployment processes and methodologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of servers into existing infrastructure
  • Coordinate with multiple key stakeholders to facilitate the deployment and installation of server hardware across the United States
  • Involved in a wide range of issues including secure architectures, network security, information security and privacy


Requirements


Required Skills:


  • Ability to work independently on a multitude of assigned tasks
  • Proficiency with MS Office Applications
  • Strong team player
  • Knowledge and understanding of operating systems, networks and services
  • Experience and/or familiarity with one or more of the following: TCP/IP, Cisco switches and routers, firewalls, taps
  • Manage changes to systems and assesses the security impact of those changes
  • Must be able to work collaboratively across agencies and physical locations
  • Experience and/or familiarity with the following network protection devices: Firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), log analysis, malware analysis, network traffic flow and packet analysis
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience installing, maintaining, and configuring operating systems, applications, and systems
  • Experience and/or familiarity with one or more of the following: Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Microsoft Windows, KVM, SharePoint, Citrix, COTS Security Devices


Additional Job Requirements:


  • Must have the ability to lift at least 70 pounds repeatedly
  • Must be able to obtain DHS program suitability prior to starting employment
  • Must have an active Secret clearance
  • Must be able to travel within the United States, Territories & Possessions, as required


Desired Certifications:


  • CompTIA Certifications (A+, Net+, Sec+)
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)


Required Education:


  • High School diploma or equivalent is required
  • Four (4) or more years of technical support experience required
