THE POSITION:
Reporting to the Manager, Project Management, the Technical Project Manager/Scrum Master will lead multidisciplinary project teams to lead technology focused initiatives and projects. The Technical Project Manager/Scrum Master will help establish and drive an agile framework for technical projects.

The compensation range for this position is 75K-85K per year, depending on experience.

YOUR DAY TO DAY:

  • Provides regular, professional, and appropriate communications to project team members, external customers, department heads, and senior leadership
  • Effectively uses project management systems, such as ClickUp and Planview Clarizen to track and communicate progress
  • Monitors and controls each project by tracking, reviewing, and communicating progress to project stakeholders and team members through the use of agile and waterfall project management tools and reports
  • Participates in continual process improvement efforts within the PMO and complies with polices and best practices
  • Ensure cross-functional coordination; build relationships and collaborates with teams across the enterprise to gain team alignment
  • Manages project conflicts, challenges, and dynamic business requirements to build and maintain a high performance project team
  • Advocates for and models agile principles to various levels across the organization
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Project manages the day-to-day aspects of technical project work using agile techniques such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and sprint retrospective meetings
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned
  • Assists in defining and implementing agile best practices and project management methodologies for technology related projects and routine technical work
  • Proactively identifies, tracks, and resolve issues, risks, and dependencies. Communicates risks and issues to the project team and senior leadership. Identifies and implements issue resolutions. Leads risk management identification and mitigation plans
  • Prepares for and leads project team meetings including creating and distributing meeting agendas and meeting notes
  • Applies industry-standard project management best practices when creating artifacts such as kanban/scrum boards, project schedules, burn down charts, reports, backlogs, and roadmaps

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of Project Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, Supply Chain, or other relevant area. Six (6) years of relevant work experience may be substituted for the college degree.
  • 3PL, warehousing, or similar industry experience highly preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to translate complex concepts into terms and format appropriate for the audience
  • One (1) to three (3) years’ technical project management/scrum master experience
  • Must demonstrate high level of interpersonal skills with ability to work well under pressure and problem solve across a variety of business processes
  • Strategic and innovative mindset, with the desire to act quickly, think critically, challenge the status quo, create innovative solutions, and drive transformation.
  • Able to balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines. Strong emphasis on organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of agile framework including scrum, kanban and scrum-ban methodologies as well as waterfall project management approaches
  • Hands-on experience and understanding of warehouse and/or transportation management systems (such as Synapse or Banyon) strongly preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • Possesses a high degree of technical savvy, with a keen ability to learn new technology quickly and easily
  • CSM, CPO, PMP, or similar Project Management certification strongly preferred.
  • Displays energy, enthusiasm, and an even temperament, particularly during stressful times.
  • Hand-on use of agile project management software, such as ClickUp or JIRA as well as MS Project or Planview Clarizen preferred
  • Demonstrated flexibility and tolerance for ambiguity and uncertainty
  • Passion for the outstanding work you do
  • Experience working with a Project Management Office (PMO) is preferred
