Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Project Manager and Agile Coach to join our Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for mentoring and guiding our employees in implementing the Agile best solutions for their specific team challenges. This person will analyze our organization's existing ways of working and implement improvements to help streamline processes and create efficiencies, with a focus on delivering cutting-edge, high-quality solutions at speed. The ideal candidate will have experience in Information Security, as well as a deep understanding of cloud computing platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS and Project Management of Engineering teams. Additionally, the candidate should have experience working with large engineering teams(> 100 engineers), and have a proven track record of successfully managing complex technical projects on time and be familiar with scaled Agile / Scrum / SAFe/ LeSS methodologies among others and successfully leading transformations of teams and organizations through them.

We have a role for you if, you:


  • Have strong leadership and people skills to build relationships, inspire, and influence people across all levels to achieve their best work.
  • Track record of successfully leading Agile transformations of teams and organizations
  • Have experience working with large software engineering teams, keeping them aligned to the common goal, and successfully managed and motivated them to achieve positive outcomes
  • Have a history of delivering projects on time, within budget, and with a client focus. You are results driven and understand the KPIs that represent success and growth for the company
  • Have a deep understanding of or passion for cybersecurity principles, threats, and risks across multiple industry verticals and tech stacks
  • Have deep technical understanding of the software development life cycle, engineering principles, project management methodologies, and leveraged your knowledge and expertise to drive complex technical projects to completion
  • Have a proven track record of ensuring that the projects you own are designed and implemented with security in mind, helping to protect the company's employees, assets, and reputation.


What you will do:


  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the areas of threat intelligence, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence/machine learning, and make recommendations for their adoption where appropriate.
  • Communicate agile principles, scrum practices, and overall operating model across the organization
  • Drive cultural change by championing an agile mindset, and ensure the organization is adhering to industry best practices
  • Maintain objectivity regarding issues and how to troubleshoot them by applying agile principles
  • Work closely with Engineering Leadership and cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, data, and customer success, to refine project requirements and scope, cross team dependencies, and help track execution of project plans and schedules.
  • Facilitate learning and development among employees through individual and team coaching
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, setting goals and milestones and assigning responsibility
  • Provide project leadership and guidance to project teams, and ensure that project goals are aligned with company strategy and objectives.
  • Lead agile workshops for developer and functional teams, as well as for key stakeholders
  • May coach senior managers in agile practices to ensure adoption of best practices from the top down
  • Manage relationships with external partners and vendors, and ensure that their deliverables are aligned with project timelines and quality standards.
  • Guide teams in how to stay on track with agile techniques, fine-tuning their approach to ensure that overall strategy is being met
  • Undertake daily follow-ups with individual team members to ensure projects are on track and goals are being met
  • Champion the use of metrics and other objective measures by teams
  • Monitor project performance, and identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
  • Hold stand-up meetings with cross-functional teams to review project status
  • Support teams in determining resource allocations to maintain agile practices and ensure smooth project delivery

  • The candidate will actively begin coaching 2-3 teams in Agile methodology and process improvements to align across the engineering and product organization

  • The candidate will have become familiar with the deliverables, projects and responsibilities of the role
  • The candidate will start to actively contribute to the team and current projects
  • Become familiar with our teams and organizational structure


To be successful in this role, you will need:


  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with medium to large engineering teams, and reporting on complex technical projects from initiation to completion.

  • Experience aligning multiple acquired and legacy teams into cohesive units is highly desired
  • Proven track record of taking teams at growth inflection points to the next level, i.e. startup mindset to profitability and growth mindset, while maintaining innovation and agility.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Asana, Confluence) is a must.
  • Strong understanding of Information Security, working with medium to large engineering organizations as well as experience working with Google Cloud, AWS, and Azure.
  • Experience in technical project management, with a focus on delivering outcomes in the areas of project management, information security, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence/machine learning.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.


Base Pay Range: $100,000/yr. - $130,000/yr plus bonus
