Job Description
Do you love project management, marketing tech, live launches, and making sure all the moving pieces of top-priority marketing projects are working seamlessly together?

Do you want to help change the world by giving women+ the financial peace and confidence they deserve?

Do you want to work remotely for an impact-based, female-founded, fast-growing company?

We are looking for an experienced Technical Marketing Assistant / Online Business Manager (OBM) to join our women-led team and be a key player in our organization who helps us reach more customers and grow our impact. We are looking for someone who believes in our mission, has heart, and is comfortable with fast-paced growth.

As Technical Marketing Assistant / Online Business Manager (OBM), you’ll report to our Marketing Manager and be responsible for supporting our monthly live launches (flash sales and webinars), scheduling emails, building landing pages, overseeing our YouTube video publishing process, scheduling social media posts as needed, setting up webinar tech, and other duties related to supporting the functions of the marketing team.

What You’ll Do

  • You also meticulously track the data on our email list and social media channels and report up to our Marketing Manager who will use your findings to drive channel strategy changes.
  • Set up every piece of tech for running live promotions to our email list with 100% accuracy
  • Following promotions, you will analyze the data and report on the results. You love data, digging into the data, and making the data tell a story. You nerd out about tracking each launch sale and making sure we have accurate numbers to make decisions on in the future.
  • You can manage all the moving pieces of a launch (deadlines, multiple stakeholders, setting up tech, troubleshooting tech, etc.) with accuracy, timeliness, and a love for seeing it all come together seamlessly.
  • Analyze data and report on findings
  • You use your video editing skills and knack for social media to cut content from Youtube videos and repurpose for our newsletter, Instagram, YouTube shorts, and Tiktok.
  • You are hyper focused on details, accuracy, and never missing a step. We rely on you for 100% accuracy, without any errors.
  • You are a pro at building and designing landing pages in Unbounce, setting up email automations in Hubspot, and creating new deadlines in Deadline Funnel to help run our monthly promotions to our list.
  • You think simple is better. Looking at an overflowing techstack personally offends you, and you know where to trim the excess. You know how to get the job done and the data collected without overcomplicating the process.
  • Project manage our social media content creation process
  • When something breaks, you’re the first person to fix it – you know how to troubleshoot a broken connection, a platform outage, or a glitch. You love finding clever workarounds, setting up UTM tracking and investigating a broken webinar.
  • Your technical prowess is remarkable, you’re comfortable using any software, and you love finding new ways to use technology for the better.
  • You understand that technology works across departments, and you feel comfortable working with people outside of your team to make sure everything flows smoothly.
  • Set up and troubleshoot marketing tech
  • You work with our team of contractors - including writers and video editors to ensure our Youtube publishing schedule is executed on time and without errors. You guide the editors, you review videos, you publish content.
  • You’re extremely familiar with making multiple moving pieces fit together, and the word “integrations” excites you.

Who will you work with?

You will report directly to our Marketing Manager.

You will also work closely with our social media agency, copywriter, YouTube editors, and other contractors.

Where will you work?

We work 100% remotely and are scattered around North America from Washington to California, Florida, Texas, and Massachusetts, as well as across the world. We have 1-4x per year in-person meetings in rotating locations in the USA.

We provide flexible work hours, but ask you to be available for occasional meetings from 10am - 3pm Pacific Time and that you join us in Slack (our asynchronous communication software).

What does Dow Janes do and why?

Dow Janes is a company built by women, for women+. We’re on a mission to get more money in the hands of more women+ through financial education. We help women+ get out of debt, learn to save, and get invested.

Through step-by-step financial education curriculum, coaching, and community we support women+ on their financial transformation journey. We currently offer three programs: Million Dollar Year, Wealth Building Accelerator and Intentional Investing (launches in September).

Dow Janes has grown 10x since it was founded in 2020 and will grow another 10x over the next 5 years (with your help!). If you’re excited about contributing to our fast-paced growth and mission to change the world, we encourage you to apply.

This could be for you if:

  • You have experience as an online business manager or launch manager, running webinars, live launches, email marketing promos, and social media content calendars
  • You prefer a work culture where there is direct feedback, high expectations, and people work well together.
  • You are growth-oriented, and always looking for ways to improve.
  • You love hitting deadlines, if not exceeding them. You work quickly, but accurately.
  • You love structure, process, crossing every “t” and dotting every “i”
  • You are extremely organized.
  • You’re experienced with setting up automated webinar funnels, email sequences, and UTM tracking.
  • You want to work at a fast-paced, mission-driven, women-led company.
  • You are enthusiastic, uplifting, and positive.
  • You love marketing data, analyzing data and making recommendations based on the data.
  • You are 100% accurate in your work; you double check everything.
  • At the same time, you move fast – you’re adaptable to quick changes and love knowing that your systems and processes are flexible enough to adapt
  • You are a world class project manager - able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, create and stick to project plans, and manage contractors and agencies in the process.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Dow Janes is an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity at our company. When hiring, we look for people who will add a new perspective and bring different experiences to our team. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. If you do not meet every single qualification, we still encourage you to apply.

Requirements

  • You have experience with online course launches, webinars, flash sales, and other virtual marketing events
  • You have experience with digital marketing and social media management.
  • You have worked as an Online Business Manager or Technical Marketing Assistant for an online business for 3+ years. If you haven’t done this before, please do not apply.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Bonus: You have basic knowledge of major coding languages (html, CSS, SQL, Javascript, etc).
  • You have an understanding of direct response marketing funnels (with a strong preference for experience with automated webinar sales funnels).
  • You have personally managed the (marketing) techstack of an ecommerce / online business, and feel comfortable on most marketing and other online platforms.
  • You are familiar with Excel, Google Sheets, or another data management software.
  • You have the ability to work cross-functionally and across teams.
  • You have experience with tools like Unbounce, Hubspot, Deadline Funnel, YouTube content creator, Hyros, Zapier, Google Tag Manager, Facebook Business Manager, and Adwords.

Benefits
  • 401K + wealth building stipend
  • Competitive compensation package includes:
  • 4 weeks PTO and all federal holidays
  • Tech stipend
  • Annual corporate retreat
  • Health, vision and dental insurance stipend
  • Work from anywhere (we're 100% remote)
  • Base Salary ($60-85K per year based on experience)
  • 3 months fully paid maternity leave and an additional 3 months unpaid if desired

Why you’ll love it here:

  • We want you to love your life and thus stay with us for life. We work smart and strategically to eliminate busy work and wasted efforts. We intentionally direct our energy to tasks and ideas that produce results - and that’s it.
  • We’re a 100% women owned company.
  • You can work independently and from anywhere (we’re 100% remote).
  • We’re a small enthusiastic team of people who love their work, love this company, and love each other.
  • You’re changing the world (actually). Your ideas matter. You’ll directly see the impact of your contributions on our customers and employees.
  • We believe in doing well by doing good.
  • You get to use your talents for good! You’ll be directly making an impact helping women+ transform their financial lives (and thus their entire lives!)
