We are looking for a Technical Learning Engineer to join the VMware Learning team to drive key learning initiatives focused on content curation and optimization. In this role, your deep subject matter expertise in VMware products and solutions, matched with your passion to impact the success of our customers, will be critical as you engage with key stakeholders including business owners, product management, designers, curators, developers, and external partners as a technical learning engineer in support our digital learning strategy.

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

• Build strong relationships and manage stakeholders while working in a fast-paced, matrixed, global environment.
• Engage with key business stakeholders to and lead projects focused on the design, curation, development, and delivery of learning assets aligned to the digital learning strategy.
• Provide thought-leadership to develop new types of learning solutions and services to support Customer Experience and Success efforts.
• Demonstrate capability to execute with autonomy while achieving project and business objectives.

What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

• Build relationships and partnerships with our key internal stakeholders and external partners to determine audience, content, and delivery requirements that optimize customer outcomes.
• Serve as a technical learning advisor to VMware Learning leadership by analyzing customer feedback, product KPIs, and actionable analysis to enable educated decision-making and process improvement.
• Instructional delivery of course material by various mediums including live classroom (Instructor- Led), virtual and video.
• Complete instructional design and development, or partner with instructional designers to develop and optimize digital learning assets and their alignment to customer success pathways, learning journeys, and job-role learning journeys.
• Provide customer support for escalations related to learning content, labs, or learning product defects.
• Work with content curation teams to ensure curated digital assets meet customer technical outcome goals and are both technically accurate and audience appropriate.
• Work with portfolio and product management as a product and technology SME to assist in key decisions regarding portfolio evolution.
• Partner with various VMware business units to maintain technical skills and maintain knowledge of industry and technology trends, VMware solutions, and validated architectures.
• Leverage student feedback to facilitate and enable continuous learning asset improvement and updates to existing offerings.

Preferred Qualifications?

• Solid understanding of telecommunication market and NFV/SDN context, telecommunications standards, technologies, and use cases.
• Vmware Certified Advanced Professional certification preferred.
• Prior work experience with VMware products and networking solutions including VMware validated designs, the VMware Telco Cloud product portfolio including VMware Cloud Director, Integrated OpenStack, vRealize Suite, vSAN, vSphere and NSX-T Data Center.
• Ability to install, configure, operate, optimize, and troubleshoot VCF will be an added advantage.
• 5+ years of relevant experience with server and network virtualization technologies in a service provider / telecommunications environment.
• Understanding of Servers, Containers, Kubernetes, and public/private clouds will be an added advantage.
• Demonstrated background in data center network architecture and design, network security, and virtualization in the context of a cloud environments (private, hybrid, public, multi-cloud)

Structurally, the Global Learning Content Strategy team reports into the global VP of the VMware Learning organization which operates as one of the foundational pillars of VMware’s Customer Experience and Success organization.

Remote: This role is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from the location you feel most productive and comfortable. You will be expected to live within 0-4 time zones of the primary location.

For US based candidates, the annual pay range (OTE for commissioned roles; Salary for other roles) for this position is: $86,000 - $205,000. The actual offer will be based on the role, location, and individual candidate experience. Bonus, commission, and/or equity may be eligible for this position.
