The Tech I is under the general supervision of the Records Center Supervisor and may receive assignments from the Tech III. This position operates within the restrictions of state and federal statutes and regulations as well as agency policy. This individual performs a variety of tasks to assure the preservation and accessibility of accurate information.

The Tech I is under the general supervision of the Records Center Supervisor and may receive assignments from the Tech III. This position operates within the restrictions of state and federal statutes and regulations as well as agency policy. This individual performs a variety of tasks to assure the preservation and accessibility of accurate information.
Job Functions And General Responsibilities
- Maintain daily logs using spreadsheets and databases.
- Drive delivery routes and interact with agencies to pick up and deliver agency records while driving state vehicles.
- Use the records tracking system to add bar code labels to boxes, files, and query the database to locate and retrieve/refile requested boxes/files including those authorized for disposition.
- Sort, load and unload incoming and outgoing records including refiles and shipments.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Ability to lift and carry approximately 40 lbs. repeatedly throughout the workday.
- Ability to drive state vehicles for the transport of records.
- Working knowledge of e-mail, spreadsheets, and ability to enter information into a database with accuracy; ability to access and maintain data.
- Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with coworkers and state agency employees.
- Ability to operate a forklift and other Records Center machinery.
- Ability to use Records Center ladders and work assist vehicles to retrieve cubic foot boxes and/or document storage boxes.
- Infrequent statewide travel possible.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must have and maintain a valid Missouri driver's license.
