Job Description


      Position Summary:
      Service excellence is to be centered on patient care and patient relationships and is the responsibility of all employees. Teamwork is the norm and all employees will be held accountable to work as effective team members. Provide/support patient's care by performing tasks and duties consistent with professional standards, ICSI guidelines, and PNHS policies and procedures. In addition, may function in supply aid and/or sterilization capacity. Maintain a safe work area and ensure that it is adequately stocked, cleaned and organized. Implement cleaning and sterilizing procedures to support infection control and OSHA standards.

      Education/Experience:
      • Must meet one of the following:
      • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Assistant program and current Nursing Assistant Certification
      • Demonstrated ability to function with multiple priorities and interruptions
      • Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician program or currently registered as a pharmacy technician with one or more years pharmacy technician experience OR
      • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including appropriate use of English grammar and spelling
      • Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross required and maintained. On-line BLS certification is not acceptable

      PREFERRED:
      • Excellent interpersonal skills
      • Computer skills preferred.
      • At least six months recent (within the last 3 years) experience in a direct patient care or pharmacy setting


      Special Knowledge/Skills/Certifications/Licenses:
      Strong clinical and human relations skills. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing, and maintains standards of clinical skills and professional ethics as established by the AAMA. Basic computer/keyboarding/mouse skills required. Demonstrates knowledge of age related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and ensure safety of patients.
      Must maintain skill in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

      The Float Program provides dedicated coverage to Primary Care and Specialty departments within the Northern (Maple Grove), Central (St Louis Park) and Southern (Burnsville) clinic areas of the Park Nicollet organization.
