Job Duties
- The College of Health and Human Performance along with Human Development and Family Science is recruiting for an appointment of 1-year (Fall 2023- Spring 2024) for a fixed-term Teaching Instructor to teach a 4-4 load of undergraduate courses across program areas in the Human Development and Family Science Department.
- Contribute to departmental committee work as appropriate.
- The projected courses that this fixed-term instructor would teach are:
Fall 2023
HDFS 1103- Individual, Family & Romantic Relationships – 63 students
HDFS 2124 – Interaction Techniques for Working with Young Children – 40 students
HDFS 4303 – Families and Cultural Diversity –54 students
HDFS 4408 – Administration of Programs for Young Children – 40 students
Spring 2024
HDFS 1103- Individual, Family & Romantic Relationships – 63 students
HDFS 3306 – Guiding Children’s Behavior – 63 students
HDFS 4303- Families and Cultural Diversity – 54 students
HDFS 4406- Parent Professional Collaboration – 30 students

Minimum Education/Experience
- Master’s degree in Human Development and Family Science or a related field (such as but not limited to Child Development, Family and Consumer Sciences, Human Development, and Family Studies).
- Experience teaching Human Development Family Science courses at the university level is required.
License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation
None
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
Doctoral degree preferred
