Teaching Assistant / Tutoring (K-5)

Heytutor is looking to hire part-time tutors to help elementary and middle students with basic Math and English. We have over 100 positions available within the San Diego County area that we are looking to fill. This is a part time / In Person position paying between $19-$24 per hour and we are aiming to start this role within the week.

Position: Elementary School Tutor

Responsibilities:

• Provide mentoring and social and emotional support by encouraging impactful, positive tutor-student relationships and increasing students’ motivation and engagement in learning.
• Assess students’ current English and Math skills.
• Help students work through their homework and study for exams.

Qualifications:

• Successfully complete a Background Check.
• Comfortable working in a classroom setting with grade school students.
• Candidates who are currently enrolled in a 4-year degree program or have an Associates or Bachelors degree. Some kind of experience with children would be considered.
• Proof of Covid-19 vaccination required.

Schedule:

• Thursday 12:00pm - 4:00pm
• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 1:50 pm - 6:00 pm
• *Please note the start times will vary between each school site depending on bell schedule*
