Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Tax Compliance Manager.
In this role, the successful candidate as the Tax Compliance Manager, reporting to the Director of Tax Reporting & Compliance, will be primarily responsible for the preparation of the various tax compliance flings for the organization, including the Forms 990, 1120, 1065 and applicable state forms, including the timely preparation of tax extensions and estimates.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain the organizations post-issuance bond compliance and arbitrage calculations.
• Assist the Director of Tax Reporting in managing all aspects of tax compliance for NYU Langone Health System and its related entities.
• Determine estimated tax liabilities and prepare the applicable quarterly filings.
• Coordinate with the General Accounting department and other organizational departments as needed to gather all information needed to prepare the tax compliance filings.
• Be primarily responsible for the preparation of the various tax compliance filings for the organization, including the Forms 990 and applicable state forms, including the timely preparation of tax extensions.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
• Responsible for managing the organizations unclaimed property compliance.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Accounting or Finance Degree.

3-5 years experience

Preferred Qualifications:
CPA Preferred
JD Preferred
Have a sound understanding of not-for-profit tax including the preparation of the relevant tax forms.
Possess excellent written, oral, and electronic communication skills.
Be detailed-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $110,479.20 - $130,282.75 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
