Tax Associate Jobs

As a tax associate at McV Tax, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of tax returns for the firm's client base including high net worth individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts and non-profit organizations. You will be interacting with clients to help them with their tax questions, perform research and manage deadlines. Your role in the firm requires collaboration and support to holistically assist clients as a team.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare income (and some payroll) tax returns for individual, corporate, partnership, trust and non-profit clients.
2. Use QuickBooks Online (and likely QuickBooks Desktop) to interact with clients and assist with accounting/bookkeeping questions.
3. Research tax questions and counsel clients regarding tax matters.
4. Market the firm via client relationship management software, website, networking and events.
5. Analyze data and/or prepare projections/analytical spreadsheets.
6. Collaborate regarding office management: travel for client needs/deliveries/shopping, light office cleaning, front office operations.

Qualifications:

1. Accounting/finance background and interest
2. Microsoft Office suite applications experience and knowledge.
3. Effective business writing/interpersonal communication required.
4. QuickBooks/bookkeeping experience (Preferred).
5. Data and workflow process management (Preferred).

Certifications:

1. 2–4-year college degree in accounting/finance.
2. CPA or eligible to sit for CPA exam is a plus.
