Job Summary
Seeking a Systems Engineer - Cybersecurity to join our team in San Diego, CA. Your primary function will be to provide Systems Engineering Support Services (SESS) supporting Mobile User Objective System (MUOS), Space Systems Command (SSC), United States Space Force (USSF). The position will provide direct Cyber Security engineering support throughout MUOS Ground System Sustainment and Development/Acquisition activities.
Responsibilities and Duties
Track cryptographic keys, revise key management plans, and coordinate changes to existing systems to ensure cyber security compliance. The Systems Engineer - Cybersecurity shall interface with cyber authorities such as NSA to support Key Management Infrastructures (KMI) and manage Assessment and Authorization (A&A) approvals. Provide subject matter expert guidance to obtain and maintain system authorizations. The cyber security authorizations include but are not limited to: Interim Authority to Test (IATT), Interim and full Authority to Operate (IATO/ATO), Interim and full Authority to Connect (IATC/ATC), Cross Domain Solution Authorization (CDSA), and Assessment and Authorizations (A&A) in both the developmental and operational environments. In accordance with evolving threats, strategy, policy, and regulation, you will manage Cybersecurity/IA issues. Categories of support include; securely provision, operate and maintain, protect and defend, analyze/investigate, respond, recover, and oversee/govern the applicable networks and systems.
Qualifications And Skills
Required knowledge and years of experience
Four years experience.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field (e.g., cybersecurity, computer science, computer engineering)
Certifications
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). Certified Network Engineer (CCNE). Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE). Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP). AWS Solutions Architect. Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN) Security + Certified Ethical hacker (CEH), (Desired)

The minimum salary starts at $140,000 and the max is negotiable based on experience
