About This Role


Wells Fargo is seeking a Systems Consultant in Deposit Product Group to design and improve the latest applications to decision transactions such as ACH and Deposits in real-time. The candidate should have experience working in an agile environment and have excellent business analysis, communication, and organizational skills. The role will require strategic design and mapping of business requirements and solutions to system/technical requirements.

In This Role, You Will


  • Contribute to the overall project plan, financials and risks by working with the change managers and technology teams to ensure milestones, forecasts and risks are accurately managed
  • Monitor back-log in Jira and assist with sprint planning for major initiatives, requires close work with several application teams
  • Include teams across Wells Fargo as required to resolve project issues, working effectively and individually with Technical and Non-Technical team members and stakeholders
  • Support in the definition of Business Requirements as Jira Stories and translation of these into more detailed technical requirements for use by the technology teams where required
  • Assist with the definition of the post-implementation support and operating model
  • Able to effectively facilitate meetings, demonstrate brainstorming/consensus building skills, and interact with executive level project sponsors
  • Recommend best practices, industry standards and strategically aligned solutions based on business needs/requirements
  • Assist with compiling and maintaining Confluence content around metadata and control documentation
Required Qualifications:


  • 7+ years of Credit Portfolio Consulting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:


  • Technology background with a good understanding of the software development lifecycle and execution models (esp. Agile).
  • Strong data analysis skills and experience - able to use tools such as SQL/SAS to analyze large volumes of data to find correlations, variations and anomalies
  • Experience of planning and coordinating technology delivery working closely with development teams.
  • Good documentation skills with the ability to articulate complex topics in a concise and articulate manner, including preferred experience with Visio UML documentation
  • Significant Banking Product (Deposits, Structured Finance, Secured Lending, Debt Capital Markets, Payments and Foreign Exchange) experience
  • Experience of implementing a cloud-hosted solution, or migrating an on-premises solution to the cloud
  • Established and proven track record in information technology requirements gathering, systems design and execution
  • 5+ years of Business Systems Data and Business Systems Designing experience
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience with regulatory requirements for Banking
  • Ability to be proactive and clearly escalate when risks or issues arise
  • Notable experience working closely with Control, Compliance and Risk functions
  • Notable experience in liaising directly with a variety of stakeholders throughout the firm
  • Notable experience in working closely with Banking/Payment Operations
  • Experience with the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA)
  • Ability to work across multiple initiatives in parallel and prioritize own workload, especially across large initiatives taking significant time to accomplish and small enhancements to move quickly
  • Experience of working with third-party vendors and third party vendor risk management
  • Ability to collaborate with business and technology teams to understand requirements and share with technical teams
