We have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Systems Engineer based in our Irvine, CA office. The Systems Engineer will work closely with many teams in the IT Department, including Helpdesk, Network, and Software Development to support and implement hardware and software systems used by In-N-Out Burger.

General Responsibilities

  • Install new software releases and system upgrades, evaluate and install patches; and resolve software related problems, including working with software vendors on support tickets as needed.
  • Implement critical projects in support of a wide range of complex applications that rely on server functionality.
  • Maintain data files and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity.
  • Assist with management of backups; perform system backup and recovery
  • Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive data.
  • Upgrade, maintain, perform migrations, and proactively monitor critical systems.
  • Carry out technical strategy in the deployment of complex systems, as well as contributing to technical solutions and administrative maintenance.
  • Contribute to and participate in the ongoing development and implementation of the company’s cloud strategy.

Work Schedule + Benefits

  • Full-time, Salaried, Exempt
  • Pay Range is 105,000 - $132,000
The above represents the expected pay range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we will consider your experience and other job-related factors.
  • Some overtime will be required
  • Office Hours: Hours will vary but typically work Mon-Fri, 8:00 am-5:00 pm

Job Requirements:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with using Powershell or other IT Automation (i.e. Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Prior demonstrated experience with cloud migrations and management of cloud/SAAS applications and infrastructure (Preferred)
  • Highly motivated and enjoys working through and solving complex problems
  • Extremely detail oriented and passionate about work quality
  • Minimum 2+ years experience in a System Administrator/System Engineer role using Microsoft technology (Windows Server, Exchange, AD) and VMWare, enterprise storage environments, Citrix, cloud-based identity providers (i.e. Okta, OneLogin, Azure AD, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field is preferred

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of security best practices.
  • Familiarity with networking basics, containerization, and Linux and/or Unix environments.
