Job Description

Primarily duties will focus on supporting the Director of IT Infrastructure on various PC and network infrastructure operation responsibilities and projects.


Essential Functions

  • Provide proactive support services for the repair and recovery from system hardware and software failures.
  • Provide timely and accurate completion of Office365 configuration services and Windows Server administration.
  • Troubleshooting and providing technical support to employees
  • Maintaining networks and network file systems
  • Install required patches to address security deficiencies.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of IT systems and network standards.
  • Actively manage the setup and maintenance of the Active Directory database.
  • Test, image, and clean PCs, laptops, and other related hardware to company standards.
  • Managing Windows, Linux, or Mac systems
  • Perform daily system monitoring to maintain a high level of system availability and integrity.
  • Creating and managing system permissions and user accounts
  • Maintain, analyze, and troubleshoot software and computer peripherals.
  • Efficient with cloud applications like Office365, Google Cloud Platform, and AWS services.
  • Upgrading, installing, and configuring application software and computer hardware
  • Performing regular security tests and security monitoring


Requirements

  • Communication proficiency.
  • Knowledgeable of multiple PC and server Windows versions (Microsoft Windows 10, 11, Server 2012, 2016, 2019).

  • Working knowledge of GCP products and networks.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of Mitel PBX systems and SIP.
  • Problem solving.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows ACLs.
  • Working knowledge of Windows operating systems with regard to security, patch management, and best practices.
  • Able to multitask and work in a team setting.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Confident with Windows based hardware, software and support.
  • Customer service oriented.


Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


Physical Demands

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some physical activity will be required. The ability to lift up to forty (40) pounds on occasion and bend or stand will be a requirement.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.


Travel

Some travel is expected for this position based upon infrastructure project needs of field offices. Not expected to exceed 20%.


Education and Experience

  • Active Directory experience – two (2) years, preferred
  • MCSA and/or MCP certifications, preferred
  • Office365 – one (1) year, preferred
  • VMware knowledge a preference
  • Windows server- two (2) years, preferred
  • Windows troubleshooting – two (2) years, preferred
