System Engineer Jobs

Description:

We are seeking an experienced IP Network Engineer to join our team and support our organization's network infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying live assets on the network and maintaining accurate documentation of all network devices. The ideal candidate should have experience with various network technologies and protocols, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify live assets on the network and maintain an up-to-date inventory.

• Utilize existing network tools to verify and validate network device information.

• Identify and document all network devices including switches, routers, firewalls, servers, and other network infrastructure components.

• Work closely with the Network Operations team to ensure the accuracy of network device information and maintain up-to-date documentation.

• Monitor and track network device changes and update documentation accordingly.

• Assist with network troubleshooting and support as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in IP network engineering.

• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and other network protocols

• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, routing, and switching.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cisco certification such as CCNA or CCNP

• Knowledge of cloud networking technologies such as AWS or Azure

• Experience with network scanning tools such as NMAP, Solarwinds, or similar tools
