System Engineer Jobs

Our client, a financial industry leader, needs a System Engineer to join their team in Durham.

Responsibilities of the System Engineer:

• Ensure designs meet performance, security, usability, reliability, and scalability requirements
• Effectively operate in an Agile/Scrum software delivery environment
• Participate in testing to ensure timely delivery of defect free solutions
• Work closely with application owners, solution architects, and business sponsors
• Apply expertise in Excel, Visual Basic, VBA macros, and Sybase

Requirements of the System Engineer:

• 2+ years of development experience with strong knowledge of Excel, Visual Basic, VBA macros, and Sybase/SQL/relational databases required
• Desire and aptitude for learning new technologies
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum project environment with globally distributed teams required
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent programming experience
