EDUCATION LEVEL: Associate degree

INDUSTRY: Information Technology

Our client is seeking a Junior System Engineer with a strong passion for software programming, willingness to learn, and eagerness to join a collaborative team. This is an IAT-II Level/PU position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Utilizes technical skills to help team as well as Government personnel to properly identify asset system problems and that the solution shall satisfy the customer's requirements
• Assist in any vulnerabilities for Business Server applications and installation of software releases
• Supports various phases of the systems development and implementation including but not limited to performing study, testing, and acceptance related tasks
• Participates in hardware and software evaluations to ensure database administration policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and SOP requirements are meet

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• CompTIA SECURITY+ Certification or equivalent
• Systems analysis in a specialized IT area(s), e.g., telecommunications, operating systems software, software / hardware integration, software validation, and verification
• 1+ years of Server administrator experience in Windows and/or Linux Operating Systems
• Associate degree (A.A./A.S.) or bachelor's degree in a related field or at minimum Information Technology (IT) Certification
• Experienced in principles, or practices, or procedures used in phases of life cycle applications and systems development, or engineering, or programming, or analysis
• Active Public Trust Clearance or have ability to obtain
• Possess strong oral communication and written comprehension skills

PERFFERED SKILLS:

• Hold the following or equivalent certifications: CompTIA SECURITY+, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, (ISC)² Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), CCNA
• Experience in remediation of vulnerabilities
• Experience in Apache Web Servers
