Description

System Business Analysts for Chicago, IL location. Develop and maintain enterprise data repositories to support the hospital's critical planning, management, and decision-making activities Identifying, coordinating, and ensuring integrity of utilization data for Northwestern Medicine, including patient demographics, utilization, physician and hospital services and locations. Designs new computer programs by analyzing requirements, constructing workflow charts and diagrams, studying system capabilities, and writing specifications. Determines operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements and formats. Liaison with IT department regarding the automation of reporting. Prepare presentation materials and supporting schedules/reports to support operational leadership including the verification of completeness and accuracy. Increase productivity by developing automated applications incorporating econometrics, eliminating duplication, and coordinating information requirements. Perform IT application project management. Troubleshoot and resolve IT concerns regarding reporting from EMR system and other decision support tools. Support the finance operations of Northwestern Medicine. Technical Environment: SQL and relational databases; EPIC; Tableau; Excel; VBA; Python; R; Power BI.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Math, Data Analytics, Finance or related field plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or in IT/Accounting/Finance data required. Required Skills: 3 years with each: SQL and relational databases; IT Application Project Management. Experience must include: Excel; VBA; Python; Power BI; Tableau; R; Econometrics. Background check required. May telecommute in the Chicago area with ability to commute to HQ Chicago office as required.
