Swim Instructor Part-Time

Non-Certified Swim Instructor - $15.50 - $19.93 per hour

WSI Certified Swim Instructor - $16.00 - $19.93 per hour

*FREE* Training for qualified candidates! No experience necessary but a general knowledge of basic swim strokes is a plus.

  • We offer reimbursement of course fees (if WSI Certification is obtained through SSPRD, excluding the $40 certification fee) after completing 3 full sessions of instruction. Non-Certified Swim Instructors will be provided free initial training. Must be able to instruct 2 evenings classes a week and/or Saturday mornings. Additional hours are available once qualified and approved to teach private lessons at a starting rate of $14.21 per hour for Non-Certified Swim Instructors and $17.75 per hour for WSI Certified Swim Instructors.

Looking for a great part-time gig where the work is actually fun? Do you have a passion for aquatics? This is the job for you! The Swim Instructor is responsible for teaching swim lessons that motivate, educate and encourage students of all ages and varying abilities while developing swim skills. The ideal candidate must maintain knowledge and understanding of all swimming strokes and skills, as well as knowledge of American Red Cross Learn-To-Swim levels. We are currently looking for shifts ranging from morning to evening hours and weekends.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.
  • Will possess knowledge and understanding of all swimming strokes and skills, as well as knowledge of America Red Cross Learn-to-Swim levels.
  • Can follow and enforce all pool standards and rules.
  • Will have previous experience teaching swim lessons.
  • Has the ability to swim to safety with a full-grown adult and remain calm in emergencies.
  • Will be able to communicate effectively with the public and other team members.
  • Can work independently.
  • Possess American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Possession of current certifications in CPR/AED and First Aid.
  • Must be fifteen (15) years of age at the time of application.
