We’re OperationsInc, a human resource consulting firm. Our client, a provider of medical claim and pharmacy cost management solutions, is looking to add an SVP of Financial Planning & Analysis to staff. This is a fully remote role from anywhere in the US and eligible for bonus. This is an exciting opportunity for an executive-level finance professional interested in the healthcare industry. Their team of brilliant professionals are continuously expanding the boundaries of the healthcare industry through innovations that intersect data and technology and amplifies human intelligence to result in better outcomes.
As Senior Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), you'll lead financial strategy, manage M&A activities, and drive continuous improvement across the organization. You’ll work in a highly collaborative and creative team of talented professionals to evolve the business, as well as use creativity and innovation to solve problems in ways that have never been imagined before. You will also support efforts to build and architect large-scale, data driven systems.
You will have a chance to work on cutting edge solutions in an innovation driven environment where the team works collaboratively to solve challenges to achieve common goals. In this role, you will support the CFO, who is responsible for strategic financial oversight, by FP&A providing data analysis and decision support to the entire organization, including:
- Delivering and Executing (75%) – Responsible for all business forecasting for the entire organization in all matters operational, financial, and strategic; Transform the overarching company strategy into a long-range plan with management of annual operating and capital budgets; Forecast operating and profitability performance and sets annual targets for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); Cooperate and lead M&A strategy with Executive Leadership; Displays strong analytical mindset with technical ability and excellent people skills; Follows best practices established by the organization and participates in improvement conversations; Consistently helps the team achieve results, even under tough circumstances
- Learning and Growing (20%) – Actively learns business process flows and develop business models to translate data insights for long-term planning purposes. Learns through successful and failed experiment when tackling new problems; Actively seeks ways to grow and be challenged using financial models
- Planning and Aligning (5%) - Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives; Collaborates with other team members by providing data analysis and decision support to the entire organization; Relates openly and comfortably with diverse groups of people

Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop the FP&A team, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous learning, and professional growth
- Monitor the financial performance of the organization, identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership
- Develop and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, including investors, lenders, and financial partners
- Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support the growth and success of the organization
- Drive M&A initiatives, including identifying potential acquisition targets, conducting financial due diligence, and providing financial and strategic support for the integration of acquired companies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical, operational, and IT leadership, to optimize resource allocation, drive cost reduction, and maximize operational efficiency
- Oversee the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, and long-range financial plans to ensure alignment with organizational goals
Required Expertise:
- Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex financial information and provide clear, actionable recommendations
- Proven experience in M&A activities, including deal sourcing, valuation, due diligence, and post-merger integration
- Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, analysis, and management reporting, with a strong understanding of the healthcare industry, including payer/provider dynamics and reimbursement models
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
- Minimum of 12-15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the healthcare industry
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, including advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling and reporting systems
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities, with a track record of developing high-performing teams
Preferred Skills:
- 5-10 Years with current or former healthcare organization
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and advanced Excel skills, including experience with complex financial spreadsheets
