Primary Function

Responsible for cleaning the plant after production has completed daily operations, meeting USDA and Wayne Farms LLC pre-operational performance standards.

Responsibilities And Tasks

• Manage relationship with USDA inspectors.
• Conduct safety meetings with all Sanitation employees.
• Complete daily paperwork, including time sheets and daily rosters.
• Removal of all processing residue from equipment and utensils .
• Sanitizing all equipment after cleaning.
• Ensure Sanitation employees are properly trained in all aspects of their jobs.
• Organization of Sanitation and Support employees to run department efficiently.
• Monitoring of Sanitation issues.
• Assuring plant meets sanitation standards set by plant and USDA.
• Administering disciplinary action and counseling of employees.

Minimum Skill Levels And Work Experience

• High school or equivalent technical experience.
• Excellent communication skills -- verbal and written and the ability to do so at all different levels.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills and ability.
• Basic Computer skills.
• Knowledge of the poultry industry or related field preferred.
• Ability to plan, organize, effectively direct, assign, and review the activities and duties of Sanitation and Support employees.

Preferred Skill Levels And Work Experience

• Prior processing plant supervisory experience is desirable.
• Associates degree or equivalent technical experience.
• 2 or more years of supervisory / management experience.
