Job description

KEY RESULT AREAS:
  • This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production equipment and the plant environment. The successful candidate will only use safe methods and practices.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operate floor scrubber to clean concrete flooring
  • Clean and sanitize production line operating equipment (ovens, mixers, etc.)
  • Knowledge of sanitation master schedule
  • Clean and sanitize baking equipment including bins, trays, etc.
  • Perform housekeeping duties including, restrooms, lunchroom, offices, conference room, etc.
  • Discard all corrugated, inedible food and other packing material
  • Sweep and mop work areas

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operate a trash compactor
  • Operate a baler
  • Read a weight scale
  • Knowledge of pest control
  • Knowledge of production line operating equipment
  • Knowledge of equipment assembly
  • Knowledge of chemicals, chemical color coding system and chemical handling
  • Knowledge of how to read MSDS
  • Work weekends or overtime as assigned
  • Other duties and/or projects assigned.
  • Commit to a continuous improvement work team environment.

WORKING RELATIONSHIP:
  • Position interfaces with all department leads and machine operators to determine extent of sanitation needs.
  • Necessary to work as a team supporting and communicating cooperatively with team member within the department and with other members of the production line and maintenance.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Be able to lift / push 50; more than 50lbs will require two people.
  • Able to work on feet for the entire shift.
  • Perform tasks requiring standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, walking, and climbing

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
