- Maintain supplier cost sheets & terms, as required
- Maintain proactive communication with vendors to effectively manage purchase orders and ensure on-time in full delivery
- Negotiate favorable terms, volume discounts, cost reductions and contracts with suppliers in order to increase GM dollars for the company, all while supporting our internal initiatives and upholding our company standard of high Quality.
- Prepare and maintain all relevant reports and KPIs
- Hold suppliers accountable to the highest possible service levels with product quality and on-time delivery of the utmost importance.
- Reconcile significant variances. Monitor abnormal demand and take corrective action to prevent reoccurrence and to avoid excessive inventory
- Special projects as needed
- Resolve any discrepancies in quantities, delivery, cost, and quality.
- Report any price increase proposals from suppliers and support department with preparation and completion of supplier negotiations
- Build solid, mutually beneficial relationships with all current and future suppliers.
- Ensure that all distribution centers have a sufficient supply of products as determined by the sales forecast
- Collaborate with Sales, Planning and Product to seek input and align on forecasts that drive purchase plans based on established inventory and safety stock targets
- Communicate any supply-related concerns to ensure there is no disruption in the supply chain
- Responsible for issuing purchase orders and maintaining all purchase order information within the ERP.
- Set up proper X-Factory dates on all outgoing shipments and coordinate with International Freight
- Challenge the team to be Customer Centric, including developing strategies to enhance our customer service and our growth, focusing on deliveries that are on-time, in-full and defect-free to influence positive customer feedback results, responsiveness to internal and external customers
- Drive performance improvement through the use and interpretation of Continuous Improvement Tools
- Develop, implement, and maintain work instructions and process documentation
- Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required with internal and cross-functional teams
- Deploy Lean methods to simplify processes, eliminate waste/non-value adding activities and improve workflow: evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of processes, procedures, and daily workflow
- Address the root causes of issues, create corrective action plans, and implement long term solutions
- Organizational skills, with ability to manage competing priorities
- Proven ability to drive cohesion and collaboration among many different people & functions

- Adaptable / Flexible - being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances
- Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and MS-Project skills
- Confidence, presence, and credibility to command the respect of colleagues and senior stakeholders, especially within Strategic Procurement, Engineering, Services, Logistics, and Finance. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to effectively communicate well with all levels of the organization – English
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in purchasing within manufacturing sector with Asian-Pacific and Indian Market Experience
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
- Be able to stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time, bend, kneel, squat, and twist
- Paid training to learn about the history of cannabis, compliance, product knowledge, and sales
