About The Job


Rampart Bioscience is currently seeking a Supply Chain Specialist.


The Supply Chain Specialist will work closely with the Senior Manager, Laboratory Operations to provide support for Research & Development operations. This role will support inventory management, supply chain management, ordering, procurement, shipping and receiving with administrative tasks as needed. An ideal candidate will be highly organized, have a can-do spirit, and have a desire to learn in a fast-paced startup environment.

The Impact You Will Make


The Supply Chain Specialist will play an instrumental role in supporting operations of Research and Development studies required for the advancement of gene therapies in humans. In this position you will perform various tasks to support the supply chain process from supplier to delivering the product.


What You'll Do


Supply Chain Management


  • In charge of supply chain strategy and logistics
  • Support and promote continued process improvements.
  • Identify any bottlenecks that need to be addressed to improve the process.
  • Investigates supplier discrepancies with deliveries and purchase orders.
  • Creating and updating processes and procedures for the ERP system.


Inventory Management


  • Consistently maintain proper inventory levels; manage all inventories and forecast accurate inventory targets and allocations at two sites.
  • Identify potential supply risks and inventory exposures by aligning supply chain and forecast models.
  • Assist identification and qualification of new sources of supply to support the business strategies.
  • Work closely with Lab Manager to manage assigned Strategic / Preferred Suppliers.
  • Support physical inventory counts, reconcile inventory variances.
  • Perform physical inventory checks.
  • Maintain current inventory system.
  • Maintains detailed chemical inventory.
  • Interact with suppliers to maintain delivery scheduling.


Purchasing


  • Prepares and processes the return of merchandise items back to vendors.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with vendors.
  • Source new and secondary materials.
  • Create, prepare, distribute, monitor and follow-up on purchasing actions based upon orders that have been placed.
  • Negotiates preferred/discount pricing or contract pricing with vendors.
  • Paces orders for material and equipment as requested.
  • Expedites critical orders through relentless follow up for assigned internal clients.
  • Resolves backorders.


Administrative


  • Maintain files both paper and digital.
  • Perform shipping and receiving duties.


What You’ll Bring


Required Qualifications:


  • Associate degree or combination of education and experience, Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management is a plus.
  • 3-7 years of work experience in supply chain management and/or inventory management, experience in a pharma/ biotech manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced level in MS Office, experience with SAP Concur is a plus.
  • Good health and safety practices and compliance with applicable EH&S rules and participate in mandatory safety training.
  • Ability to prioritize the workload to ensure delivery against tight deadlines.


Desirable Skills and Experience:


  • Knowledge of planning, inventory management, reporting and other supply chain/logistics.
  • Strong work ethic and a collaborative team player.
  • Experience in performance improvement, processes, cost reduction, supply chain improvement and scaling operations.
  • Ability to multitask and support multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Able to use multiple inputs to establish direction.
  • Good interpersonal skills and effective communication, both verbal and written.


Compensation, Benefits & Additional Information


Compensation range: $70,000-$95,000 commensurate with qualifications
