Job Description

Primary Purpose:

The Replenishment Planner ensures the optimal flow of raw materials and components for our company’s operations, so they are producing the right amount of product, at the right cost, the right time, and in the right location.This role assists in all inventory planning duties including, but not limited to, analyzing inventory levels, issuing purchase orders for raw materials, lead efforts to reduce obsolete inventory and function as the integration point on new product development.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain close working relationships within the organization and to our various suppliers
  • Participate in new product development meetings and provide guidance on arrival of key materials
  • Monitor raw material consumption and adjust inventory levels based on recent trends
  • Ability to perform data analysis and create an executive summaries as needed
  • Support inventory strategies for Holiday and Promotional campaigns
  • Minimize excess and obsolete inventory – lead team and cross-functional inquiries, working directly with SC and Warehouse/3PL leadership to move inventory
  • Manage the daily analysis of internal & external packaging inventory based off forecasted and historical sales for Schuman manufacturing and co-manufacturer sites
  • Investigate any inventory or data issues by performing a root cause analysis and implementing solutions to improve the department’s performance and solve chronic performance issues
  • Issue purchase orders/releases in accordance with the supply plan to ensure optimal inventory levels
  • Analyze and interpret multiple sources of data and create adhoc reporting when needed
  • Analyze inventory levels and identify any areas of risk; communicate risks in a timely manner to appropriate members of the SC team and organization

Education, Qualities and Skills Required:

  • Able to demonstrate basic supply chain concepts
  • Proven ability to data mine and analyze
  • Advanced working knowledge of Excel and experience with pivot tables, index matches, V/H-lookup, IF statements
  • Minimum of 1 year of replenishment planning experience
  • Supply planning knowledge in Sage ERP preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time exempt position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday. Expectations of 45 hours per week, to be worked during normal business hours.This position is a hybrid role, with in-office hours required at least 3-4 days per week and the option to work remotely 1-2 days per week.
